A Gentle Leap Toward Self-Care and Support 🎨💜

Living with dyslexia and Irlen Syndrome means I experience the world a little differently—with sensitivities to light, sound, and even temperature. While it hasn’t always been easy, I’ve learned to embrace the way I’m beautifully wired.

We’re all uniquely made—with our own blend of challenges, brilliance, and stories waiting to be expressed. You, just like me, were created with purpose and gifted with something only you can offer the world.

Recently, I’ve been nurturing my self-care in a new way—through art journaling alongside a beautiful group of like-minded women in my local community.

This safe, creative space is helping me quiet the voice of my inner critic and open up to healing, freedom, and authentic expression.

Sometimes the bravest thing we can do isn’t pushing harder—it’s giving ourselves permission to slow down, create, connect, and simply be.

A Big Reveal: Through My Eyes

So blessed that I had the opportunity to speak at a local author gathering, sharing a piece of my heart through stories from my journey to Israel, my publishing adventures, and… drum roll please… the unveiling of my very own book, titled Through My Eyes.

This book is incredibly personal — a reflection of my roots, heritage, and faith journey. It includes the impact Israel has had on my life and how those sacred experiences continue to shape who I am today.

I’ll also have a beautiful selection of handpicked products from Israel on display — some of which will be available for purchase. These treasures are infused with story and meaning, and I can’t wait to share them with those who resonate with this journey.

From Helping Others to Writing My Own

While I’ve spent years supporting others in telling their stories — and you can find me listed as lead author in many collaborative books — Through My Eyes is the one where my voice truly takes centre stage.

Yes, the spelling isn’t always perfect. Sometimes, even the cleverest writing tools can't keep up with my brain-to-keyboard speed. But perfection has never been the goal — authenticity has.

In my 60s now, while many of my friends are thinking about retirement, I feel like I’m just getting started. An artist's work is never done — there's always more to express, more to uncover, more to pour out onto paper or canvas.

What’s Coming Next?

I’m working closely with a handful of personal clients this year to bring their books to life. We’ve got another edition of Mystery of Eden magazine on the way, and something truly special is unfolding — my very first children's book! I’m teaming up with the talented Angela from The Artist Haven, whose brushes and inks are bringing my whimsical illustrations to life in the most magical way.

Signing Off (For Now…)

So here we are — it’s already April, and the creative palette is full. The paint is flying, the words are flowing, and I’m stepping forward in bold colour and quiet courage. My prayer is that as I keep learning, growing, and leaning into creativity, you’ll feel inspired to do the same.

Let’s walk this path together — mess and all — toward 2025 and beyond.
Stay tuned for my new website launch, and thank you from the bottom of my heart for being here.
